Downstairs flats
Why do the downstairs flats never open their curtains or blinds? It is understandable I guess that everyone can see in as they walk out to their cars but they must get no light into their flats at all. Quite depressing if you ask me.
I feel sorry for the downstairs flats that have car parking spaces right infront of their kitchen and living room windows, no privacy at all! Same goes for number 1 and 17 they have the electric gate right at their window so anyone sitting in their car waiting for the gate to open can just have a nosey into their flats so it is understandable that their blinds are closed at all times. Number 4 never has their blinds open, probably due to the fact they are right next to the bins. Again this is understandable as putting out the bins is something people just have to do but it must just be easier to keep the blinds closed as you never know when someone is going to go and put their bins out.
Smuggled dog
Somewhere within Southside a dog has been smuggled in disturbing all of the neighbouring flats. It barks all the time, enough so to warrant a letter from the head honchos who own the complex reminding residents that they should not have pets unless the head guys allow them to. Smuggled dog owners we have our eyes peeled and will sniff you out!
Free to a good home
While putting out the rubbish and recycling one morning I saw this...
A Hitachi DVD player just sat there all wet because it had rained the night before guess it must be broken but why not just throw it into the big bin? Maybe its not broken maybe they wanted to give it away but didn’t want to ask anyone? It’s now disappeared from on top of the recycling bins either its been thrown away or its been “recycled” by another member of the Southside massive!

He was a skater boy I said see you later boy...
There is not many children who live in the complex, so as you can imagine I was quite shocked to see a teenager with his skateboard. However at the weekend and at half term there is an influx of grandkids who come over to visit, squealing and running riot all night and all day much to the annoyance of the downstairs occupiers. Take them out to run about for goodness sake?!

Car Park
There appears to be a constant battle of the visitor’s spaces in the car park by many residents who own two cars! Many households have two cars now a days and a lucky few that occupy the more expensive apartments’ in Southside have two assigned spaces albeit they are awkward spaces but two none the less! For the cheaper apartments’ only one space is provided along with three visitor spaces. As you can imagine the visitor spaces are seldom actually used by visitors, but the second car of whatever occupant gets back from work first! This has led to some of the two car occupants or indeed visitors for that matter to park in quite ridiculous places that are most definitely not spaces and make life getting in and out of the car park difficult for everyone else. This in turn has led some occupants to complain and now they have taken the hint with a little help from a letter from the head honchos. There is a small car park just over the road that can be used by two car occupants, which a few of them now use. This may be due to the letter sent out to them or it could be due to the fact that a few weeks ago the electric gate broke open and the two car people parked across the road because they realised their car was no safer in the Southside car park.
Talking about the car park, some of the fortunate occupants who have two spaces park in very strange ways. The spaces if you can imagine are one in front of the other or one behind the other if you know what I mean. Anyway some of these cars like to park so far forward that are only partly in their first space and have no second car, so why park barely even in one of your spaces! Some like to park their one car right in the middle of their two spaces just to show they can. Some are particularly greedy and park their car in the visitor’s space to save their own two spaces for family and friends coming round!

9-5
The first thing we noticed about this little community is that almost everyone works Monday to Friday 9-5 apart from the retired folk, this means that various cars seldom move from their parking spaces. This also means that come the weekend the complex is a hive of activity!
